Evident Systems Named as a Real-Time Payment Third-Party Service Provider on the RTP® Network

Evident Real-Time© Payments enables banks and credit unions to implement real-time payments for their account holders, almost effortlessly.

Reston, Va., September 17, 2019 – Evident Systems, a real-time banking service provider for financial institutions, announced its partnership with The Clearing House (TCH) as a third-party service provider that offers services integrated with TCH’s RTP© network. With Evident Real-Time Payments, banks and credit unions can accelerate their digital banking transformation by leveraging a set of turnkey services to support and monitor real-time payments being sent and received.

The RTP® network is the first new core payments infrastructure built in the U.S. in more than 40 years. The network is the first to deliver 247 clearing and interbank settlement, including the real-time movement of money and enriched data between participating financial institutions. The RTP® network offers functionality and extensive level of data accompanying each RTP transaction. The RTP® network currently reaches more than 50% of U.S. accounts for real-time payment receipt and adoption is increasing.

“We live in an on-demand world where services and products are delivered in real-time,” says Bobby Calderwood, founder of Evident Systems. “Many local and community banks and credit unions are only now starting to engage in the transformation to real-time. TCH has supported this move with a standard set of protocols for interbank settlements and real-time money movement. By leveraging Evident Real-Time Payments, financial institutions can seamlessly and automatically integrate their core banking systems into the RTP® network and leverage pre-certified tests to confirm successful integration. We are removing all barriers for banks and credit unions of any size to leverage the RTP® network and offer real-time payment services to their business and consumer account holders.”

In addition to accelerating the onboarding time, Evident Real-Time Payments offers ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities to ensure financial institutions can deliver exceptional customer service for real-time payments. The transformation to real-time is not just a shift in technology, it is a new way of banking for account holders and will require new methods of support.

“Partners, such as Evident Systems, who can fully operationalize RTP® network protocols and augment them with value-added services, help to continue the growth of the RTP® network,” said Keith Gray, VP of Strategic Partnerships for TCH. “We look forward to working closely with Evident Systems to provide access to the RTP® network to all depository institutions, regardless of size.”

TCH will be joining Evident Systems on stage to demo Evident Real-Time Payments at the Finovate Fall 2019 conference September 24th at 3:30 pm EST (Demo Session #3).
